Day Camp Policies
We are so excited to get to spend time with your child/children this summer! Below are some day camp policies we need to have in place for camp to be a great experience for everyone!
We hope to see the kids come to camp daily as often as possible during their 1 to 4 weeks. This allows them to get the most out of their experience. Of course, we understand this is summer and there will be times when kids will miss due to vacations, week-long camps, and/or other activities/outings.
Cancellations/Withdrawals
If you have registered your child/children for camp and he/she will not be attending, please let Jill know ASAP to allow his/her spot to be given to another child or junior counselor.
Positive Behavioral Expectations
In order to have a successful, fun and safe camp experience for all our campers and staff we expect all campers to follow all camp rules and have a positive attitude participating in all the activities throughout the camp morning each day. It is important that all campers respect the camp staff, volunteers and each other.
Persistent inappropriate behavior policy
If behavioral problems persist throughout the morning a phone call will be made and a parent will need to come get his/her child for the remainder of the camp day. If behavioral problems occur over the course of a several days, we reserve the right to terminate the child's participation in camp completely. A child who acts out in behavior that harms themselves, other campers, staff or volunteers will be terminated from the program for the remainder of the summer. Such behaviors include but are not limited to: physical injury, emotional mistreatment, abuse of prescription or illegal drugs, use of alcohol, carrying firearms or other dangerous items, using any item in a dangerous way, or any other activity determined by a the staff to be putting others at camp in danger. As a staff, Love Eau Claire Day Camp reserves the right to remove from participation in camp activities any child who for any reason causes harm to themselves, other children, volunteers and/or staff at camp.
